What I Learned Building My Own Developer Portfolio

Building a portfolio from scratch reveals many of the same challenges found in larger products. Content modeling, responsive layouts, image optimization, accessibility, SEO, reusable components, environment configuration, and deployment all matter. More importantly, the portfolio itself becomes an opportunity to demonstrate engineering decisions rather than simply listing technologies.
